UPDATE (2012/04/16): Development Builds are no longer required to login to the HammerCraft Tekkit Server. Please use the Recommended Build in the Technic Launcher settings.
It’s Tuesday, and that means maintenance on the Star Wars: The Old Republic servers. On this particular Tuesday, it also means a new patch went live. BioWare deployed patch 1.1.2 to the live servers this morning, and it adds to the user experience improvements from earlier patches. The patch notes are available at swtor.com.
The fine folks over at Old Republic.net have created a nifty leveling flowchart for players of Star Wars: The Old Republic. It include both the order in which the two factions will encounter planets and the Flashpoints that may be completed along the way.
On Friday, BioWare published the first in a series of video guides on the New Player Guide section of the Star Wars: The Old Republic site geared toward helping new players get into the month-old MMO. “Begin Your Journey” features BioWare’s Social Media Coordinator, Eric Musco, demonstrating to players the process of selecting a desirable server and creating their first character.
Another patch dropped last night for Star Wars: The Old Republic, and its patch notes are so short we can list them all right here! Hopefully this will address the client crashing and disconnects that cropped up after the rollout of Patch 1.1.1 earlier this week.

BioWare has deployed Patch 1.1.1 today, and with it came a bundle of fixes and changes. Full patch notes can be found on the official Star Wars: The Old Republic site.
On Sunday, 29 January 2012, the virtual private server hosting our Tekkit Survival Minecraft server experienced catastrophic data corruption. Our server’s map and all backups were lost in the event, leaving us with no path to restoring the world that we started on 13 January.
This leaves our Tekkit community in limbo, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We’ve just gotten to know many of you only recently, and are quite happy with the small community that’s taken up residence here. At this time, we are weighing our options for future hosting. Be assured that as soon as we have a concrete course of action for the future of our Tekkit server, we’ll let the community know.
As part of weekly maintenance, BioWare has rolled out patch 1.1.0b for Star Wars: The Old Republic. The update contains a number of bug fixes and optimizations, most notably an improvement to the ability delay issue that has been plaguing many players. Sources on Reddit and elsewhere report that perceived delay when activating player abilities has been drastically lessened.
Further, Georg Zoeller, BioWare’s Lead Combat Designer for SW:TOR, posted on the official forums to assure players that further fixes and refinements are coming. Such improvements include clearer ability cooldown animations, more accurate cast bars, and better synchronization between ability activation and character animations.
Stephen Reid, BioWare’s Community Manager for Star Wars: The Old Republic, has confirmed that Patch 1.1.0a has been deployed to the live servers. The patch addresses uncompetitive PvP issues on Ilum as well as class-inappropriate loot distribution in Operation: Karagga’s Palace.
