Blizzard Entertainment’s secretive MMO project, known to the public only as Titan, has been cancelled after seven years in development due to creative issues.
In a recent interview with Polygon, Blizzard co-founder and CEO Mike Morhaime revealed that although Blizzard returned to the drawing board last year, the project would not meet the studio’s standards of quality.
“We didn’t find the fun,” Morhaime said. “We didn’t find the passion. We talked about how we put it through a reevaluation period, and actually, what we reevaluated is whether that’s the game we really wanted to be making.
“The answer is no.”
Although Titan was never officially announced, the project has been long rumored and Blizzard was open about its development once the rumor became common knowledge within the gaming community.
