World of Warcraft Rolling Out Patch 6.0.2 on 14 October

The gameplay systems patch that will prepare Blizzard Entertainment’s World of Warcraft for next month’s Warlords of Draenor expansion is set to release on 14 October 2014. Patch 6.0.2, entitled “The Iron Tide,” will feature class ability updates, gameplay adjustments, and new content to usher in the expansion’s tone and story.

Azeroth’s legendary Dark Portal will become a gateway for invasion as Hellscream’s Iron Horde marches forth from Draenor of the past to conquer the Azeroth of the present. Players will be able to take battle to the Iron Horde in the Blasted Lands and to the general leading the charge, Gar’mak Bladetwist.

Additionally, the Iron Horde will make a daring assault on Blackrock Mountain, taking refuge inside the cavernous depths of Upper Blackrock Spire. For a limited time, level 90 characters will have access to a revamped five-player version of the venerable dungeon to get a taste of the Iron Horde’s power.

World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor, the fifth expansion to Blizzard’s decade-old MMORPG, launches in North America for Windows PC and Mac on 13 November 2014.
